Investigation of influence of riveted joints on deformation and stress behavior of an attachment assembly from Aluminum Alloy.

The study includes:

  • Complete part design and the creation of comprehensive documentation for the manufacturing and assembly of the final product.
  • Finite Element Method (FEM) simulations performed using SolidWorks Simulation, employing three different FEM approaches to analyze rivet behavior and structural deformation.
  • Analytical calculations based on classical Strength of Materials methods.
  • Static testing of the assembly using a custom-designed test jig. Additionally, specialized jig jaws were fabricated to ensure accurate boundary conditions.
  • Final test report featuring detailed analysis and high-resolution photographs.
